On 11th November 2018, the United Kingdom and its friends overseas marked the day 100 years ago that the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War.
Leek Wootton & Guy’s Cliffe Parish Council worked with residents and community organisations, including All Saints’ Church, All Saints’ Academy, The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club and Broad Lane Leisure, to stage a series of events, from a ‘Contemplation Exhibition’ in the church from 1 November, to a Beacon of Light on the night.
Thank you to everyone involved in making it a special day to remember the sacrifices of our ancestors.
