New Councillor: David Kiernan

David Kiernan

The Parish Council was pleased to co-opt David Kiernan onto the Council on 5 November 2025.

David has known Leek Wootton since his childhood, attending the village school, before moving away in his 20s. He returned to his family home in c.2021.

He says, “Leek Wootton has always been home to me — it’s where I grew up, went to school, and where my family roots are. After returning to the village, I feel a strong desire to give something back to the community that has given me so much over the years …

“I’m passionate about maintaining the character of the village while supporting sensible development and community initiatives that benefit residents of all ages.”

The Parish Council welcomes David and looks forward to working with him.

The Parish Council has two remaining vacancies. If you would like to know more about being a Parish Councillor, please see the Becoming a Parish Councillor page and/or contact The Clerk for an Application Pack
